Privacy Policy

Summary

WalletCalc is designed to require minimal data from users. We do not collect financial transaction details. The fee calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your inputs (transaction amounts, services selected) never leave your device. We use Google Analytics for anonymized site usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising. We respect Do Not Track and cookie consent preferences.

What information we collect

Information you actively provide

The fee calculator is fully client-side. The amounts you enter, the services you select, and the results you see all stay in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or analyze your transaction inputs.

If you contact us via email, we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any information you choose to include. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

When you visit WalletCalc, we automatically collect:

• Standard server log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, timestamp of visit. This is industry-standard server logging used for security and operational purposes.
• Anonymous analytics: Pages visited, time on page, navigation patterns, country (derived from IP), device type. We use Google Analytics for this. Data is aggregated and anonymized.
• Advertising cookies: Google AdSense places cookies to serve relevant ads. These cookies are subject to Google's privacy policies.

Cookies

WalletCalc uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Functional cookies: Remembering your selected country and consent preferences. These cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality.
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. You can opt out via the consent banner or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Advertising cookies: Google AdSense for ad personalization. By default, these are disabled until you grant consent through the cookie banner. You can change your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling functional cookies may prevent the calculator from remembering your country selection.

Advertising

WalletCalc displays advertisements through Google AdSense and may use other ad networks in the future. These services use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads relevant to your interests based on your browsing history.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and similar regulations in the UK and California, we honor consent preferences. By default, advertising cookies are denied until you grant explicit consent.

Affiliate links

WalletCalc includes affiliate links to international remittance services (Wise, WorldRemit, others) when our calculator identifies that mobile money cross-border features may not be the cheapest option. When you click these links and complete a transaction, we may earn a commission. This commission does not affect the price you pay or the calculator math.

Affiliate links are clearly labeled and use the rel="sponsored" attribute. We do not adjust calculator results to favor affiliate partners.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. We share data only with:

• Google (Analytics and AdSense): Anonymous usage data and advertising cookie data, subject to Google's privacy policies.
• Hosting providers: Standard server log data necessary to operate the site.
• Legal authorities: If required by law or to comply with valid legal process.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of personal data we hold (subject to legitimate business needs).

Children's privacy

WalletCalc is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU, depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us so we can address the issue.

International users

WalletCalc is operated from Botswana but accessible globally. If you access the site from outside Botswana, your data may be processed in Botswana, the United States (Google Analytics, AdSense), and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using WalletCalc, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be prominently announced on the site.
